Sen. Martinez’s Toy Distribution Returns To Offer Holiday Magic For Local Families
Santa’s sleigh will make a special stop at Central Islip High School on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, to bring toys to children. The stop is part of New York State Sen. Monica R. Martinez’s annual Toy Distribution event, which aims to ensure that every child can enjoy the magic of the holiday season, regardless of their household circumstances. The festivities begin at noon and will spread cheer while supplies last. There will also be photos with Santa, snacks, music, and crafts.
Last year’s event distributed nearly 1,000 toys to children from across the Fourth Senatorial District. Sen. Martinez hopes to build on those “good tidings” and reach more families, especially those whose finances have been impacted by rising costs resulting from inflation and new federal tariffs.
“For a child, this season is meant to feel like the most wonderful time of the year, but for families dealing with financial hardship, it often isn’t,” said Sen. Martinez. “Since its inception, this event has shared the joy of the holidays with children and spread goodwill to all. Just like in each of the previous years, this event will bring smiles and warm hearts throughout our community.”
