Islip Elks Donate Dictionaries To Grateful East Islip Third Graders

Continuing a recent annual tradition, John F. Kennedy Elementary School again received donations of dictionaries for the school’s third graders, thanks to the the Islip Elks Club. Elks representative John Tramposch visited the school to deliver the dictionaries to each third-grade class.

“It was so generous for the Elks Club to once again recognize the third graders at JFK by presenting each and every child with a dictionary,” Principal Deborah Smith said. “Mr. Tramposch explained to the students the importance of learning new words and writing with a varied vocabulary. We are grateful for their kind donation.”
