Blessing Williamson, A Girl After An Olympic Dream

Blessing Williamson is a young girl working hard towards her dream of becoming an Olympic swimmer. She began swimming when she was only four years old and today at the age of thirteen, continues her swimming career at the competitive level.

Blessing currently swims for the Long Island Express swim team, based out of Hofstra University. This year she qualified for the 2023 NCSA Age Group Swimming Championships in Orlando, Florida, which will be held at the Rosen Aquatic Center from March 22-25. Additionally, she also qualified for the 2023 Metropolitan Age Group Swimming Championships, which will take place at the Nassau County Aquatic Center from March 10-12. Blessing competes in the 50-meter freestyle, the 100-meter backstroke and her favorite, the 100-meter butterfly stroke.

She loves competing and one of her inspirations is former Olympian swimmer, Michael Phelps. The support of her entire family, swim team, friends and coaches, means everything to her. Having a relentless dedication and an outstanding effort in the continuous pursuit of her dreams, we only see bright things ahead for Miss Williamson.
