West Babylon Senior High School student-athlete Lacey Downey has been recognized with a News 12 LI Scholar Athlete award. Downey is a three-sport athlete (field hockey, basketball and lacrosse) and is headed to Boston College on a lacrosse scholarship next fall. She is top in her academic class and an all-around leader. Her segment will be airing on News 12 on Jan. 31 at 5 p.m. through Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. Downey also received a $1,000 scholarship from Bethpage Federal Credit Union.
