William Rall Elementary School in the Lindenhurst Union Free School District recently welcomed new assistant principal Kristina Moon. Ms. Moon was welcomed into her role at the building on Sept. 28.
Prior to her appointment at William Rall Elementary, Ms. Moon most recently served as the assistant principal and district instructional technology administrator for the Mattituck-Cutchogue School District, where she was responsible for daily building operations in collaboration with the building principal, the facilitation of a building-level technology committee and professional development in the area of instructional technology. Before her time in the Mattituck-Cutchogue School District, Ms. Moon spent 13 years working as a literacy coach at Oquenock Elementary School in the West Islip Union Free School District.
Ms. Moon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in childhood education from the State University of New York at Cortland, a Master of Science degree in literacy from Dowling College, a Master of Science in curriculum development and instructional technology from University at Albany and an advanced graduate certificate in educational leadership from Stony Brook University.
“I am both proud and grateful to be joining not only the William Rall community, but the entire Lindy family,” Ms. Moon said. “I look forward to working in a family oriented, close knit community with wonderful students, families and staff members.”
