Cars And Coffee Fundraising Event To Benefit The New Vocational Training Center For Individuals With Autism

Car enthusiast from near and far are invited to register for the Cars & Coffee fundraising event taking place in West Babylon, NY.

WHEN: September 18, 2022. at 10:00am – 2:00pm.

WHERE: Winters Bros. Waste Systems, at 120 Nancy Street, West Babylon, NY 11704.

WHO:  The event is to benefit the Winters Center for Autism, a new job training center for individuals with autism. Join us for coffee, food, music and lots of family fun. Your participation will support the center’s mission to improve employment opportunities, and wellness, for adults with autism.

WHAT: The Winters Center for Autism, a non-profit organization founded by Joe and Michele Winters in 2020, is a dynamic partnership of dedicated people working together to enhance the lives of adults with autism through job creation, training and placement to address the excessive unemployment rate among people with autism.

The Center also provides fitness, recreation and social programs to assist participants in achieving their goals.

WHY: The unemployment rate for individuals with autism exceeds 90% and the Winters Center for Autism is committed to changing that. Jobs can give people a sense of fulfillment and purpose. Identifying businesses in the Long Island community who want to be a part of making a difference is the key to changing the landscape of unemployment for adults with autism.
