The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is pleased to announce the return of the 40th Annual Summer Run Series. This eight-race series will begin Monday, June 12 and will run through Monday, August 14, 2023. Participation in the Summer Run Series will be limited to a total of 4,000 runners. Advance registration into Tier 1 or Tier 2 is required, please visit www.elitefeats.com/SummerRun.
Registration for Tier 1 includes all eight races and is open to a maximum of 2,500 runners. Cost is $90 per registrant. Online registration opens Saturday, April 1 at 6:00 AM for 2,500 runners.
Registration for Tier 2 and wheelchair accessible races is open to a maximum of 1,500 runners.Cost is $65 per registrant. Tier 2 registration includes the following four races only: Heckscher 5-mile on June 12, Sunken Meadow 10K on June 26, Heckscher 5K on August 7, and Jones Beach 5-mile on August 14. Wheelchair accessible races includes the following four races only: Heckscher 5-mile on June 12, Caumsett 5K on July 24, Heckscher 5K on August 7, and Jones Beach 5-mile on August 14. Online registration opens Wednesday, April 5 at 6:00 AM to the first 1,500 runners.
The Summer Run Series is sponsored by the Natural Heritage Trust, 106.1 WBLI, 102.3 WBAB, Runner Edge, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Boening Brothers, Performax Physical Therapy and Wellness, Catholic Health, Newsday, and WildPlay Elements Park, Jones Beach.
