2022 Annual Caumsett Fishing Permit

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation – Long Island Region would like to advise that the 2022 Annual Caumsett Fishing Permit will be sold online only at the New York State Parks ReserveAmerica website. There will be no in-person sales at Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve or the Regional Permit Office.

The Annual Caumsett Fishing Permit will go on sale beginning Monday, January 3 , 2022 at 12:00AM (midnight) and is limited to the first 500 applicants. Permits will be mailed once processed. Please allow at least 14 business days for your physical permit to arrive in the mail.

Fee is $40.00 and all Out of State Residents will be charged an additional $35.00 after purchase. A State Park Representative will contact you once your purchase has been received and reviewed to collect the additional out of state fee.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to be prepared and ensure they have the required documentation prior to sales beginning on January 3rd at 12:00AM:

• All applicants must have a valid ReserveAmerica account to purchase a permit

-Create a ReserveAmerica Account, if you don’t have one already.

          -We suggest you log into your ReserveAmerica account just prior to 12:00AM on January 3, being sure to refresh your page often. This will expedite the checkout process.

  • Valid Vehicle Registration and license plate details
  • Valid NYS DEC Recreational Saltwater/Marine Fishing Registry

-Individuals are encouraged to apply, if they have not done so already, for the NYS DEC Recreational Saltwater/Marine Fishing Registry and can do so online at https://decals.dec.ny.gov/DECALSCitizenWeb
