Young Musicians Attend New York Philharmonic Performance

Members of the fifth grade band and orchestra at Waverly Elementary School traveled to the big apple to hear the New York Philharmonic on Jan. 19. The New York Philharmonic’s Young People’s Concerts for Schools program encourages teachers to enrich student engagement through a live orchestral concert featuring the Philharmonic with music, movement, art and stories. Students were eager to step inside Lincoln Center and hear from professional musicians.
