During the Wyandanch School District Board of Education meeting on July 26, the board and Superintendent of Schools Dr. Gina Talbert congratulated the district’s retirees and recognized them for their many years of dedicated service to the school district.
“You have worked so diligently to serve the needs of our scholars for so many years,” Dr. Talbert said. “Now comes the day when you can receive your rewards. The board of education and I thank you for giving 100% of yourself every day. We wish you happiness, success, health and prosperity as you enjoy your retirement.”
Congratulations to the following retirees: Maisie Douglas, Paul Greene, Peter Noto, Kathlyn Popko, Tawanna Rice, Eleanor Shepard, Rafika Soaries, Yolanda Thompson and Pamela Zaccaria. In recognition of their years of service, each retiree was presented with a commemorative plaque.
