As part of a recent science unit, the fifth graders at Woods Road Elementary School in the North Babylon School District had a special visit from the Star Lab on Jan. 13. Part of the BOCES program, the Star Lab is a traveling planetarium where students get the opportunity to visit different planets, view the stars and solar system. Students learned about scale and proportion, the movement of the sun and took a visit around the galaxy during the interactive lesson.
