West Babylon Lions Club Makes Generous Donation To The Town Of Babylon Food Pantry

The Town of Babylon recently thanked the West Babylon Lions Club for hosting a food dive to benefit the town’s food pantry in North Amityville. When the organization heard that the pantry was in need of donations, the leaders sprang into action and began collecting food and other items. Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Councilman Terence McSweeney and members of the Human Services Department were on-hand accept and thank the club for all of its efforts to keep the pantry stocked and supplied.

The town food pantry operates by donation only and is located at the Department of Human Services, one Commerce Boulevard in North Amityville. The pantry accepts items year round and the most needed items include: peanut butter, jelly, tuna, canned vegetables, soup, pasta, sauce, rice and beans.
