West Babylon School District held its annual fun run and wellness expo at West Babylon Junior High School on May 20. Organized by the school’s Wellness Committee, the event brings together community organizations, Parent-Teacher Associations, students and families for an evening of fun and engaging wellness activities.
On the turf field, the elementary school PTAs set up organized activities for attendees such as cornhole, hula-hoops and obstacle courses. Community organizations were on hand to speak to families, and students lined to get their face painted. The fun run was organized by grade level for students in kindergarten through sixth grade with plenty of cheering on the track as they made their way around. Community members were asked to bring a nonperishable food item for donation to the West Babylon Food Pantry.
