Veolia Invites Long Islanders To Join In Its Support Of Service Dogs For Veterans

Veolia, the company responsible for protecting Nassau County’s south shore environment through its operation of Nassau County’s wastewater treatment facilities, is launching the inaugural United Veterans Network Fundraiser to be held on August 25, 2022, at Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall in Wantagh, NY, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Proceeds from the benefit will go to America’s VetDogs, a Long Island based 501(c)(3) that helps pair veterans with service dogs.

In addition to supporting the program attendees will be offered refreshments.

Veolia is the leading environmental services company in the nation, serving more than 550 diverse communities across North America.

“With Long Island hosting one of the largest veterans’ populations in the nation, our support of this program reaches an important and vital part of the community,” said Kevin Chandler, Vice President, Veolia, Long Island operations and himself a United States Marine Corps veteran. “It is truly an honor to support such an important organization, and to be able to help improve the lives of those who have served.”

Together, Veolia and America’s VetDogs seek to have a significant positive impact on the veterans’ community across the bi-county region. “Through their innovative programs, America’s VetDogs has consistently touched the lives of countless veterans. Our company proudly stands with them and all those seeking to improve the quality of life of those who have worn the uniform,” said Chandler.
