Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and the Town Board recently honored Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School 8th grader Bhavana Madini for taking 3rd place honors in the Scripps National Spelling Bee, the nation’s largest and longest-running competition of its kind.
Supervisor Saladino and the Town Board commended Bhavana on her outstanding achievement, and commented that students who excel in this demanding competition should be extremely proud as it requires academic excellence, along with countless hours of study and hard work.
