“It has often been said that success in sports, as in life, requires dedication, perseverance and a commitment to excellence; Nick exhibits all of these traits and now he is a member of the Oakland A’s,” said Supervisor Saladino. “But just as importantly, you have always dedicated yourself to being a good teammate and a caring humanitarian, best illustrated by the considerable time to you have spent helping children with special needs.”

Nick is a 2019 graduate of Massapequa High school and was a member of the school’s 2018 State Championship Baseball Team. The power hitting catcher finished off the 2023 season with an impressive batting average of .478.
