The members of the Wyandanch Memorial High School Army JROTC were on a mission on April 22.
Their determination and commitment were on full display as the cadets continued their winning streak and won three trophies during the JROTC Commander’s Cup.
“Our Army JROTC cadets are role models for all our scholars,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Gina Talbert said. “They epitomize the characteristics we encourage our scholars to embrace. We are extremely proud of their winning streak and congratulate all the Army JROTC cadets who competed.”
The battalion entered three teams in the competition and each team was victorious. Team 1, captained by Justin Henry, won the two-mile rucksack relay. Team 2, the all-female team led by Naidelin Cu-Lopez, won the female push-up division. Team 3, led by Oscar Alvarez, won the pull-up event.
