Teachers Federal Credit Union Partners With St. John’s University Athletics, Reaffirming Its Commitment To Financial Wellness In The Community

Teachers Federal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in the nation, is proud to continue its partnership with St. John’s University Athletics Department this 2021-2022 school year. As the official credit union of St. John’s Athletics, Teachers is back on campus just in time for basketball season with engaging initiatives that aim to promote financial literacy and a sense of school pride for students, members and fans alike.

Teachers is a sponsor of two upcoming SJU Red Storm basketball games, on December 5 v. Fordham at Carnesecca Arena and February 8 v. Villanova at Madison Square Garden, and will have representatives on site to engage fans in activities including:

•                  Timeout competitions
•                  Financial literacy promotion surrounding the official Teachers St. John’s Debit Card
•                  Games for fans, students and members alike!

Teachers’ pledge to be Smart For All signifies the credit union’s commitment to providing the smartest guidance to help members build a strong financial foundation. In celebration of its partnership with St. John’s University Athletics, and to demonstrate a continued commitment to bettering the financial wellness of the greater community, Teachers introduced the Teachers St. John’s Debit Card in Fall 2021. Offering members the ability to show their school pride and represent St. John’s with every purchase, the new card is the smart choice for students to take charge of their financial futures.

To further support the St. John’s University community, Teachers is a proud sponsor of SJU’s Annual Employee Appreciation Week in December. Throughout the week of December 6 – 12, Teachers will sponsor employee engagements on the university’s campuses across Queens, Manhattan and Staten Island including food trucks, swag giveaways, and other collateral.
