Mills Pond Elementary School students hit the road on Jan. 30 for a reading event at Barnes & Noble in Lake Grove.
Sponsored by the Mills Pond PTA, several teachers from Mills Pond Elementary School read to students in the store. The field trip was part of the PARP (Pick A Reading Partner) program, which encourages children to read. As a nice treat afterward, the students, families and teachers had dinner at California Pizza Kitchen, with a portion of the sales donated to the school PTA.
