Suffolk County Legislator Tom Donnelly (D-Deer Park) recently recognized Suria Ramsagar of North Babylon with the 2022 North Babylon High School Legislative District 17 Citizenship Award.
Ms. Ramsagar is a dedicated student who has balanced academics with volunteer service. For the last three years, Ms. Ramsagar has been a part of the Drama Department’s costume crew where her talent and skills have been helpful to other students. She is also a member of the Student Equity Team, Students for a Better World, Gender Sexuality Alliance and the Student Council. She learned that she was the recipient of the award during the high school’s senior awards ceremony on Thursday, June 9 where Legislator Donnelly presented her with a County Proclamation.
“It is a pleasure to recognize those that go above for their school and community and, based on her service and accomplishments, Ms. Ramsagar certainly embodies the intended spirit of the Citizenship Award,” said Legislator Donnelly. “I know that she has a very bright future, and I wish her all of my best.”
