Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta and NYS Senator Mario Mattera Congratulate Three New Eagle Scouts From Boy Scout Troop 7 Of St. James

Three scouts earned the rank of Eagle Scout at a ceremony at the American Legion Post in Smithtown. Celebrating their achievement were Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta, New York State Senator Mario Mattera, family, friends and fellow scouts and scout leaders, and other guests.
Luke Finamore of St. James renovated and landscaped the area surrounding the statute at the Mary Monte Building at Sts. Philip and James Church in St. James. To complete his project, he placed a gold painted concrete bench in front of the statute.

Emmett Zeman of Stony Brook conducted a landscaping project at the American Legion Post 95 in St. James. He added new retaining walls on each side of the entry and bark nuggets. In addition, he addressed a problem they were having with gutter drainage.

Dominic Sanzone of St. James refurbished the woman’s bathroom at the American Legion Post 95 in St. James. He replaced and installed a new ceiling, vanity, sink, toilet, floor and lighting, as well as painting the room.

At the ceremony, Legislator Trotta presented each Eagle Scout with a proclamation recognizing their achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout. “This is a very proud moment for these young men, and this accomplishment will be with them for the rest of their lives,” said Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta.
