Fifth graders at South Bay Elementary School in the West Babylon School District are studying folktales, fables and dramas as part of their English language arts unit. The students are learning about text features, language, characters, dialogue, scene setting and stage direction. As part of a hands-on lesson, the students each took the part of one character in the play “Pandora’s Box” and performed for the class.
