Smithtown Elementary School students and staff, along with Smithtown Superintendent Dr. Mark Secaur and members of the Suffolk County Police Department celebrated Flag Day on June 14.
Fifth graders led everyone in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “My Country Tis of Thee” and “This Land Is Your Land.”
“Remember how special it is that we get to live in America, land of the free and the home of the brave,” Smithtown Elementary Principal Dr. Mary-Ellen Kakalos told the students.
