Setauket Elementary School students in the Three Village Central School District faced dozens of schools across Long Island in the First In Math Regional Contest. Grades 1-5 at Setauket participated in the virtual competition that challenges students in several math skills including fact fluency, automaticity, problem-solving and procedural fluency through different games. Students who do exceptionally well at the virtual regional competition qualify to go to the statewide championship event.
Setauket Elementary School ranked within the top 100 schools in New York State and in the top 10 in Suffolk County during the regional contest. The statewide championship event will be held in Albany in May.
