Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino (right) recently honored Ava Fiorello of Girl Scout Troop 2069 in Massapequa, for her generous donation of a life like chess set and adjacent seating for the enjoyment of residents at the Town’s Philip B. Healey Beach at Florence Avenue in Massapequa.
This donation was made as part of Ava’s Gold Award project, and will make a significant and positive impact in the community, and is a great addition to the beach. Supervisor Saladino honored Ava with a Citation and thanked her for her dedication to the project, which included many hours of logistical planning and design.
