Students from Rocky Point Middle School are continuing to strengthen connections with one another and had a recent opportunity to do just that with first graders.
Twelve sixth graders – Conor Bedus, Dominick Casoria, Aubrey Kantor, Samantha Klunder, Elena Maher, Aiden McLoughlin, Daisy Morbillo, Connor Neligon, Shane Piccolo, Bella Renois, Meridith Schmidt and Isabella Zuluaga – shared some favorite winter stories with Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School first graders. The students walked over to the elementary school recently with teachers Elizabeth Mancini and Rebecca Pagnotta, who organized the readings.
The students were the second group of sixth graders selected to visit the elementary school based on letters that they wrote, stating the reasons why they should get to read to the first graders including working hard in school, being role models and making up any missed classwork. The inaugural group of students visited in December.
