Waverly Elementary School students in the Sachem Central School District stepped outside the classroom for the annual Peace Garden planting. Students across all grade levels received flower bulbs with a piece of paper attached for them to write down pledges for a positive school year. Not only did the schoolwide activity help beautify the school grounds come spring, it also helped students set goals to reach throughout the year.
