Open House At The Nassau BOCES Adult Education Program

Nassau BOCES Adult Education is holding an Open House on Thursday, September 9 at 7 p.m. Join us to find out about all our course offered at our Westbury location, 1196 Prospect Road.

This fall, our Adult Career & Technical Education (CTE) program is opening new avenues into the job market, while providing unique opportunities for a career change. From job training in entry-level positions, to coursework designed to advance current skills, Adult CTE is a comprehensive program with something for everyone. Registration is now open for a variety of Online, In-Person and Hybrid classes in vital career fields.

“We’re excited to welcome students to our open house and help them reach their career training and job placement goals,” said Nassau BOCES Adult Education Principal Michele Cohen. “We have more job openings listed than ever before, and our expert staff and faculty are ready to help you begin your new career.”

One of the new courses this year is the Environmental Technician Training Program, designed in partnership with key industry employers. This 60-hour training program provides the skills and knowledge required to obtain an entry-level position as an environmental technician, and opens opportunities for growth at environmental service companies.

Meet our instructors and visit our state-of-the-art shops and studios, designed to meet industry standards.Courses are offered in a variety of ways, including online, in-person and hybrid models.

The Nassau BOCES Career Employment Center is the place to visit and meet our team of professionals, who work regularly with students to help them land a meaningful career. They also provide an abundance of job postings, and help with career assessments, resume writing, interview techniques and employment applications.
