In recognition of Earth Day, the first graders at Deauville Gardens West Elementary School in the Copiague School District created one-of-a-kind robots made of only of recycled materials. After learning about reducing, reusing and recycling initiatives, the students were tasked with building their own robot made of everyday recycled materials that could be found around their home. They brought the robots to school to share with classmates and they are on display in the school’s lobby to showcase their creativity.
