Pre-kindergartners at Northeast Elementary School in Amityville recently completed a humanitarian project for children in need.
Students created sock puppets for Doctors Without Borders who will deliver them to children in Syria. Doctors Without Borders is a charity that provides aid around the world through humanitarian medical care. The group has previously collaborated with Northeast to support children in countries such as Ghana, Haiti, Honduras and Russia.
