For the third consecutive year, East Islip’s Momentum at South Bay for Rehabilitation and Nursing sponsored a program to donate backpacks and school supplies to needy students from the East Islip School District. Senior citizens from local community clubs recently helped stuff the backpacks on Aug. 10.
“Thanks to Momentum’s kind donation, we are able to provide 144 backpacks with basic school kits to our elementary students for families in need,” Superintendent Paul Manzo said. “This donation makes all the difference for these struggling families. We look forward to partnering with Momentum in future endeavors.”
