The Long Island Public Arts Festival
(LIPAF) proudly announces the expansion of its 2026 multi-site public art series, bringing immersive,
large-scale outdoor art installations to both Geiger Park in Deer Park and Heckscher Park in Huntington
this autumn.
Founded as a collaborative partnership between Colored Colors and the Babylon Citizen’s Council on
the Arts (BACCA) with support from the Suffolk County Office of Cultural Affairs (SCOCA), LIPAF
transforms public parks into accessible open-air galleries. The festival features signature three-sided
display structures known as “prisms,” showcasing larger-than-life canvas reproductions of original works
created by contemporary artists from across New York State.

Geiger Park Exhibition (Deer Park) | Through Oct 4, 2026
Marking LIPAF’s inaugural expansion into Deer Park, the exhibition at the newly refurbished Geiger
Park highlights the intersection of public space, community education, and local artistic expression.
Featuring 21 selected regional artists, the display spans the park’s pathways, offering residents a vibrant
cultural experience. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony in coordination with Town of Babylon officials
will be announced shortly.
Heckscher Park Exhibition (Huntington) | Oct 9 – Nov 1, 2026
Presented in partnership with the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, the third leg of the
festival takes place at historic Heckscher Park. The exhibition kicks off during the renowned Long
Island Fall Festival—the largest event of its kind in the Northeast—richly enhancing the region’s premier
autumn celebration with public art installations, interactive workshops, and community programming.
“Our mission with LIPAF has always been to bridge communities through the power of public art,” says
Jose Tutiven, Co-Founder of LIPAF and Founder of Colored Colors. “By expanding into Geiger Park and
teaming up with the Huntington Chamber for Heckscher Park, we are bringing high-caliber artwork
directly into the everyday lives of Long Island residents in beautiful, shared public spaces.”
