Legislator Susan A. Berland Honors The 100th Eagle Scout From Troop 106

Suffolk County Majority Leader Legislator Susan A. Berland (D-Dix Hills) recently attended an Eagle Court of Honor for the newest Eagle Scout of Troop 106, Kevin Siegall and presented him with a County Proclamation and 16th Legislative District pin. Kevin is the 100th Scout to join the Eagle Scout Honor Roll of Troop 106 since 1957.

During his scouting tenure, Kevin earned 25 merit badges and completed the National Youth Leadership Training. For his Eagle project, he organized, planned, fundraised and supervised the building of two wooden benches and a perennial garden at the Suffolk YJCC in Commack, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“It takes a tremendous amount of character and dedication to attain the rank of Eagle Scout,” said Legislator Susan A. Berland. “Kevin and his family should be incredibly proud of all of the work he has done for the betterment of our community and I wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Congratulations!”
