On Monday, November 18, 2023, Legislator Leslie Kennedy honored Island Better Hearing on the results of their partnership with Help America Hear, through which they provided 20 local patients with hearing aids at no cost.
The mission of Help America Hear is to provide hearing aids, nationally, for men, women and children with limited financial resources who cannot obtain them on their own. Since 2009, they have fit over 1700 people with new hearing aids. Funds collected over the year will also support their scholarship initiatives for hard of hearing college-bound high school seniors.
Island Better Hearing is a family-owned Audiology private practice that has been in the Huntington community since 1971.
