Legislator Flotteron Honors Eagle Scout With Troop 95

Legislator Steven J. Flotteron recently recognized Anthony Scarmozzino of West Islip, who began scouting in the first grade, on achieving Eagle Scout with Troop 95 at his Eagle Court of Honor at the Church of Christ. Anthony’s Service Project, earning him Eagle Scout status, took more than a year to complete which included planning, developing and leading the construction of sensory, activity boards for children at the West Islip Public Library. Grateful to the inspiring librarians for their positive impact throughout his life, Anthony wanted to give back to the library for enriching his community with creative programs and unique opportunities to learn with children of all abilities. He is a senior at Chaminade High School, a National Honors Society member, President of the Speech and Debate Team, and Editor-in-Chief of Chaminade’s newspaper.
