Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D – Plainview) joined the Plainview-Old Bethpage Chamber of Commerce and Karen McAvoy, owner of Long Island’s six Madison’s Niche home goods, fashion and lifestyle boutiques, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking her Plainview store’s first anniversary. The Monday, Oct. 10 celebration comes at a momentous time for McAvoy, who plans to open the doors to her seventh Madison’s Niche store in Woodbury later this month.

“Across Long Island, the growing success of Madison’s Niche has been powered by Karen’s indominable entrepreneurial spirit, her keen focus on customer service, and her commitment to supporting women in business and giving back to the community,” Legislator Drucker said. “It was a pleasure to celebrate this milestone with her in Plainview and wish her all the best as she expands into the Woodbury business community.
