Prior to embarking upon her fourth term in office – and her first representing the community of Roosevelt, Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) joined with Roosevelt School District officials on Monday, Dec. 18 for a tour of Roosevelt Middle School. During her visit, Legislator Mulé met with top school officials including Superintendent of Schools Deborah L. Wortham and Roosevelt Middle School Principal Dr. Jeremiah Sumter, Jr.
Starting on Jan. 1, 2024, Legislator Mulé will represent the reapportioned Sixth Legislative District, which is encompassed of the entirety of Roosevelt, Baldwin and South Hempstead as well as portions of Freeport and Oceanside.
“It is truly a privilege to represent Roosevelt in the Legislature, and I am committed to immersing myself in the community so that I will be the most effective advocate possible,” Legislator Mulé said. “My visits to Roosevelt schools have served as a wonderful welcome to the community, and it has been a pleasure to see the hard work of our educators and students firsthand. I’m truly looking forward to many collaborative efforts in the future and thank everyone for the warm welcome to the community!”
