Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and the Islip Town Board will kick off the Town’s 8th Annual Islip Goes Purple campaign on Wednesday, September 2, at 4:00 p.m. with the annual lighting of the Islip Town Hall cupola in purple.
The month-long initiative raises awareness of mental health, substance use disorder, addiction, and overdose while recognizing September as Recovery Awareness Month.
