The West Sayville Fire Department Flying Dutchmen Drill Team has won 14 New York State Championships between 1975 and 2025. They have also won 199 Drill Team Tournaments, having been Suffolk County Total Point Champions 19 times. Continuing to showcase their excellence, the team has served as a training ground for dedicated volunteers to apply the intense skill sets needed during times of crisis, demonstrating lifesaving measures at each competitive meet and executing the skills necessary to protect and serve our community.
They were honored for their performance at the NYSFD Drill Team Tournament, which earned them the title of “New York State Drill Team Champions” for 2025. This victory is a testament to their teamwork, commitment, and devotion to service.
