To help prepare them for the upcoming college decision making process, incoming Walter G. O’Connell Copiague seniors participated in a college boot camp workshop this summer. The program helped guide students through the college admissions process, including what to expect in the upcoming months, how to complete their applications, create resumes and write their personal essays. Students received feedback and recommendations on their essays from members of the English department.
Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School guidance counselors and career counselors visited with the students to talk about the college application process and answer questions and concerns.
