Inaugural Long Island High School Hockey Championships On April 6th

The New York Islanders High School Hockey League (Nassau County) and the Suffolk County High School Hockey League, announce the inaugural Long Island High School Hockey Championship. This exciting opportunity for young Long Island hockey players will feature the county champions from both Nassau and Suffolk in a matchup that will crown the victor, Long Island Champion.

This momentous event will be held at the Northwell Health Ice Center, located at 200 Merrick Ave in East Meadow, on Sunday, April 6th. This year’s bout will feature Saint Anthony’s Friars (Suffolk) and the Bellmore-Merrick Bulldogs (Nassau).

Puck drop is set for 3:30 pm, with doors opening at 2:30.  Admission is $5.00 with all net proceeds benefiting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Tunnels to Towers was founded as a tribute to New York Fire Department firefighter Stephen Siller, who lost his life in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. The Foundation assists families of September 11 victims, first responders and veterans by helping rebuild their lives.

Seating is limited so attendees are urged to arrive early.
