Honing Creative Skills At The Summer Music Camp At Port Jefferson

Dozens of district students joined in the annual summer music camp at Port Jefferson to continue to develop their musical talents in a relaxed and encouraging setting at Edna Louise Spear Elementary School.

For beginning and intermediate band and string students, the camp provided an enjoyable and positive way to begin learning an instrument or continuing their studies.

The camp encouraged collaboration while meeting new friends and offered several levels of musical training classes, including beginning band and string. More advanced classes for current elementary and middle school band and string instrumentalists were also available, and this year beginner instrumental classes were offered for students in grades 2 and 3.
