Hempstead Town Unveils NY Islanders Way At UBS Arena

Councilman Thomas Muscarella, Receiver of Taxes Jeanine Driscoll and Supervisor Don Clavin gathered in Elmont to rename a road located on the site of UBS Arena and truly solidify the arena as the home of our beloved New York Islanders. They were joined by Islanders Co-Owner Jon Ledecky and UBS Arena President Kim Stone to rename Red Road, the heavily utilized road located next to Diamond and Silver Parking lots, to NY Islanders Way!

Don Clavin said, “The unveiling of the sign is a memory I will always cherish, especially for a true Islanders fan like myself, and it wouldn’t be complete without the help of everyone’s favorite mascot: Sparky the Dragon!

The New York Islanders and UBS Arena have created something truly special here in America’s largest township. And, if you’re debating whether to come see a game at this new arena, I can tell you from personal experience that the answer is a resounding “Yes! Yes! Yes!””
