Hempstead Town to Connect Job Seekers with Employers at Township Sponsored Job Fair

As the regional economy continues its recovery from the pandemic-induced downturn, Hempstead Town Supervisor Don Clavin is inviting area job seekers to connect with local employers and explore potential professional opportunities at the Town of Hempstead’s Job Fair.  The Job Fair, organized by the Town of Hempstead Department of Occupational Resources in partnership with the Freeport Public Library, will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 10am – 4pm at the Freeport Recreation Center, located at 130 E. Merrick Road, Freeport, NY 11520.  Supervisor Clavin made the announcement alongside Senior Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby, Councilmen Bruce Blakeman, Anthony D’Esposito, Dennis Dunne, Sr., Thomas Muscarella and Christopher Carini as well as Town Clerk Kate Murray and Receiver of Taxes Jeanine Driscoll.

“As we continue our robust recovery here in the Town of Hempstead, it is vitally important that local government continues to facilitate economic growth, and that includes connecting job seekers with eager employers,” said Clavin.  “I encourage all my Hempstead Town neighbors seeking their next career move to visit the Job Fair and explore the professional opportunities available right here in our community.”

Approximately 70 area employers will have a presence at the Town of Hempstead Job Fair, ranging from local hotels, insurance companies, retail outlets, and law enforcement agencies.  The attendance of the many job providers at the fair is demonstrative of the township’s strong economic footing and the business friendly environment fostered by the Town of Hempstead.

“This Job Fair being held by the Town of Hempstead is the perfect opportunity for an area resident looking for their next career move to apply for a plethora of diverse professional positions,” said Clavin.  “Come on down, bring some resumes, and chat with employers.”

Town of Hempstead Job Fair attendees are asked to bring several copies of their resume.  For more information on the Job Fair, visit www.HempsteadWorks.com or call (516) 485-5000 Ext. 1181.
