This month, News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman visited first grade students in Leighann Hollweg’s class at Harding Avenue Elementary School in the Lindenhurst Union Free School District to discuss weather and the ways it impacts everyday life.
As part of his visit, Mr. Hoffman shared his journey to becoming a meteorologist, the different types of weather we experience here on Long Island and how different types of precipitation form.
