Good Samaritan Spring Gala Raises $300K For Level 1 Trauma Services

Good Samaritan University Hospital recently held its 58th Annual Spring Gala, “Growing Together,” on Friday, March 31, at Crest Hollow Country Club, to celebrate Good Samaritan University Hospital’s accomplishments and growth over the past year.

More than $300,000 was raised to benefit Trauma Services & Research at Good Samaritan University Hospital. Funds raised will directly benefit the community and the more than 90,000 patients seen in the hospital’s Emergency Department each year. Recently, Good Samaritan’s ED recently earned recognition as one of the highest level Trauma Centers on Long Island.

The Gala offered a special opportunity to honor the Medical Staff of Good Samaritan, thank them for their devotion to the health and wellness of our local community, applaud their innovative spirit, and acknowledge their years of sacrifice and training in pursuit of this calling. Catherine Caronia, MD, MBA, Chair of Pediatrics and Graduate Medical Education at Good Samaritan University Hospital received the peer-nominated 2023 Physician of the Year Award.
