Free Car Seat Safety Checks In Merrick

Nassau County Legislator Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) is partnering with the Nassau County Police Department’s Office of Community Affairs and Nassau County’s Department of Traffic Safety to provide free Child Car Seat Safety Checks in the parking lot of the Curé of Ars Rectory in Merrick, 2323 Merrick Avenue, on Wednesday, Sept. 17th, 9 a.m. – Noon.

Certified technicians will apply their expertise toward ensuring car seats are properly installed and providing optimal protection for the children who use car seats or booster seats. To best facilitate the inspection and installation, seats and surrounding areas should be wiped down and cleared of loose items before arrival.

“As a father of young children myself, my family’s safety is my top priority. I know firsthand how important it is to ensure our car seats are safely installed – and I also know how tricky that can be, especially for first-time parents,” Legislator Koslow said. “If you have the privilege of driving for a youngster, I encourage you to call my office and make an appointment to have your car seat inspected and give yourself the security and peace of mind you deserve.”

Appointments are required. Contact Legislator Koslow’s office at 516-571-6205 or skoslow@nassaucountyny.gov for additional information and to make an appointment.
