The Ward Melville High School football program spread holiday cheer to children in the community. Ninth grade football player Hudson Philbrick designed a football-themed activity book including coloring pages, word searches and mazes. Philbrick and his teammates wrapped 90 boxes of crayons to accompany the coloring books and donated them to Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.

Ninth grader Hudson Philbrick (right) came up with the idea to create and donate coloring books to children in the community.

“I’m really proud of Hudson for putting all this together and the rest of the players for pitching in. It’s always nice to see Ward Melville football players participate in community service, but particularly special when the work done off the field in that area is an endeavor like this one,” said coach Chris Boltrek.
