On January 23, 2024, Farmingdale School District hosted its highly anticipated Family Math Night at Howitt Middle School. This event brought together parents, children, and teachers in an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm. Families enjoyed friendly competition, played games, and solved puzzles together.
Even those initially hesitant to participate in math activities found themselves drawn to Family Math Night’s fun and engaging atmosphere. This event allows families to bond over a shared interest and develop a passion for math. Farmingdale educators aim to encourage a positive attitude and a lifelong love of learning by making math accessible, enjoyable, and engaging.
“We are thrilled to have hosted another successful Family Math Night and look forward to the next one,” said Dr. Jen Olsen, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. “We aim to inspire more families to join us on this learning adventure! Heartfelt thanks to the Farmingdale Teacher Center for making this event possible.”
The Farmingdale School District recognizes family engagement as crucial to a child’s academic journey. It encourages all parents to participate in the various events throughout the school year.
