Farmingdale Resident Appointed Principal By Nassau BOCES

Nicholas Lenoci II of Farmingdale joins the administrative team at Nassau BOCES Rosemary Kennedy School (RKS) for the 2021-22 school year. A leader in the field of physical education, Mr. Lenoci brings a wealth of experience to the administration at RKS. He is committed to the Nassau BOCES mission of empowering “students of all ages and abilities to achieve their maximum potential.”

Mr. Lenoci has extensive experience as a physical educator and health teacher, having served in that capacity for the New York City school system, Nassau BOCES and the New York State Education Department’s Woodward Children’s Center in Freeport. While working in NYC schools, he was appointed athletic director of the Public School Athletic League (PSAL).

As a coach for PSAL, he led the varsity basketball and varsity golf teams, and coordinated the implementation of new sports programs. He also served as varsity track coach for the East Meadow school district, and modified spring track coach for Roslyn schools. As a coach, Mr. Lenoci was dedicated to teaching his athletes leadership skills along with athletic skills.

Mr. Lenoci is professionally certified in a number of critical disciplines, including: therapeutic crisis intervention counseling; school violence intervention and prevention; child abuse identification; and first aid, CPR and the use of automated external defibrillators. He is New York State certified in physical education, health education, and coaching, and as a school building and district leader.

Mr. Lenoci is a member of the Kappa Delta Pi and Alpha Eta Sigma international honor societies for education; and the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. He holds master’s degrees from Adelphi University and Touro College, and a bachelor’s degree from Adelphi.
